Illness caused by sin says Vatican official

Presenting the Pope’s message for Lent, Archbishop Paul Cordes, the German head of the Vatican’s agency for humanitarian aid, maintained that there was scriptural authority for the idea that those who contract illnesses do so because they have sinned.

(His Holiness was not able to deliver his traditional Lenten message, personally, as he has been quite ill lately.)

It causes worts? Like St. John's Wort? Wow. That's news to me. Well, see y'all later, I'm off to the optometrist to get a new prescription for my glasses, and then to the barber to get my hands shaved.

I remember reading this really funny piece of Playboy by Denis Leary. It was about his meeting with the Pope and discussion of masturbation habits. It was funny as hell to a 13 year old
