Around the world in 44 years

Picked up this story today - trust a Brit to pinch the old boy's bike.

And to think he has been cycling since 1962 and hasn't yet returned home. More details about his exploits here

Just goes to show. In some ways I quite envy him spending a lifetime finding out so much about the world in such a low-cost and enjoyable fashion. Makes you stop and wonder what we are doing with our lives....

Wow....seems like he would have tired of it at some point. That's cool though. He would've been a Sir Francis Drake if it were a few hundred years ago. Too bad he doesn't have any new lands to discover.

That is a great reminder to tap into our "crazy" once in a while. Nice catch CF.

Pleased to report the Heinze Stucke had his bike returned by the police - it had been abandoned a few miles away. Seems he has become a late celebrity as well, being featured in a few more Dailies at the weekend!

Tell him to come to the US, he's crazy enough to be elected President.

Unlikely he'd succeed - seems, based on current incumbent's performance, you need an aversion to overseas travel and an ignorance of foreign cultures for that job!
