Newport Beach, Calif., Feb. 23 — Animator Chuck Jones, the man who brought Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig to life, has died. He was 89.

On a related note, the epitaph on the gravestone of Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny:

There's a wonderful biography called "Chuck Amuck"; been on my bookshelf for years.
This man created idioms and metaphors that will be with us for centuries.
