TribalJazz: A New Band

John Densmore of The Doors has a new band called TribalJazz. I heard a couple of their songs while working at Universal and it sounds good. They have the sound of the new pop jazz and twisted with old blues jazz of the golden days. I 'm loving their song Riders in the Storm. I found the link to their myspace.
Check it and listen for your-self

This is spam because it had a link but I thought I would remove the link and keep it around.

I don't follow the music scene all that closely, but I don't recall any other visible project attempts by John Densmore, who I always thought was one of the lesser regarded members of The Doors, even less so that Robby Krieger.

Of course, with Jim Morrison as the frontman, pretty much everybody else hits the radar as "lesser regarded."

I liked Ray Manzarek's stuff, though. X's first album, Los Angeles, was raw and brilliant. I didn't like them after they got more polished.

I feel the same way about so many bands. It's the ubiquitous first album curse.
Same thing, on a smaller scale, often goes for first takes, in the studio.

Something about letting your subconcious mind take more of the driver's seat.
