Ladies Only Beach

According to ABC news, there's a beach in italy for ladies only, so they can get away from, "leering Italian men, children and loud disco music". The beach is, however, "complete with exercise classes, water aerobics and makeup and manicure tips."

I love this line...

The beach does have one man.
"The lifeguard must be a man," Ravaglio said in a foreign newspaper interview. "You clearly need a man to save women in the sea. It's a question of muscles."
Bwahahahahahaha... still thinking Italian.

Wow, all these years I thought those Italian women liked that kind of thing. I guess you learn something new every day.

I was a guard, some of the best I've known were ladies. This pisses-me-right-off.

I did the guard course, I don't think I was that bad comparing to boys! anyway, sometimes on some italian beaches I desired a calm place, with no screaming children in primis, and why not, no men playing their macho-macho role, but the lifeguard thing really pissed me off, so they won't see me!

well I think it's a double standard if they don't have a men only beach also. not very progressive.

yep... it would be desert... is no question of rights or being respectful to both genders, no man would go on a only-man beach, they would think of it as boring and ambiguous (at least here in Italy )! a woman that goes to the pink beach would think of it as quiet and as a no-prey-day!

i wouldn't care about the guy lifeguard - that's an awful lot of women for one guy or however many are stationed along the way. as long as he didn't look like david hasselhoff

I wouldn't go to the beach anyway, so it's a non-issue.

wolf no like beach. Occasionally tolerates beach for the sake of others.

It's pretty funny that they don't want men leering at them thinking nasty perverted thoughts. But they're OK with all the other women sizing them up for shape, choice of suit, hair, nails, make-up, accessories and choice of towel.

I think that's true Bruce. Women don't dress up for men. They dress up for other women.

It's pretty obvious that most men couldn't give a shit what colour your hair, nails or lips are as long as they've got food on the table and a warm bed at night right? In a nut shell of course.
