November 5, 2007: Horse in the mud
Since we missed last Friday - here is a nice story for you. I guess this horse (named King) had a pretty interesting day. He got stuck in the mud, chained up, and then drug out of the hole. It took four attempts to get him out.

Good to see a happy ending. I imagine the horse must have been a bit panicky and so those rescuers were risking a nasty bite or kick there, bless 'em.
Although, you do realize you have deprived future paleontologists of a very interesting specimen?

 Hope you stick around, there is a bit of an Australian contingent building up ... I like it when there are people closer to my time zone. It makes for faster replies. Also we can talk about vegemite and pavlova and stuff.

Just because there is a saddle on the horse does not mean someone was riding it at the time it got stuck in the mud. How else do you propose they hook a chain to the horse?
