J and I get new cars one after the other

Thanks to Mr. LJ and his fine dealership, we have here a closely-matched pair of Sentra SE-Rs.

2 months after I got mine, J totals her ancient Neon, and we enjoy the SE-R so much, that she gets a nearly identical one. Hers in gray mines in silver.

Are we weird for having the same car? It's a damn cool car.

No, that's not weird. Awesome cars J and UT. But more importantly, she wasn't injured was she? If I missed this all in an earlier thread feel free to ignore me.

Well of course you know I approve, but Ive experienced the same-car syndrome and know other will think you're weird.
When Jim and I moved into this house he just happened to have a demo identical to my blue grand cherokee. Several neighbors approached us... "So, you like the blue jeeps eh...?"

Congratulations Jaquelita!

No injury, just a short stop slow wreck causing $4000 damage to the Neon (which as LJ explains, at 160,000 miles, is worth apx. $500), and $0 to the Acura SUV, whose bumper is rather high up.

Only starts getting weird when cars have names like pets.

Thanks Everyone!

The Spec V is really a fun car to drive. Since I spend @ 3 hours a day in my car the enjoyment factor has added value.

BTW Tony and I discovered that there are two minor differences between mine and his (aside from the color). I have some side molding he doesn't and my antennae has a spiraly thing that wraps around it.

Thanks again Jim!

The spiraly thing performs a very important function (but it's not related to station reception).

I don't think it's weird. But then I'm also very picky about cars, so I feel strongly that the one I've chosen is the best car, so of course it's only logical that my husband, or anyone else, would want one too.

Congrats on the new cars!

Yes, it reduces vortex-induced vibration, which reduces cyclical flexing, improving fatigue life. It probably also reduces wind noise, but would it be noticeable? I think an experiment is in order.

Good for you guys! As long as you are both happy who cares if other people think you're weird?

congrats on the new wheels. Who cares what others think? You're both happy and that's all that really matters.

My wife and I recently bought a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche and we both like it, although I could do without the sensitive steering (mostly a transition issue from big truck to small one).

We almost fight over who gets to drive. So when her Venture finally goes to that big junkyard in the sky (soon I hope), we will replace it with another Avalanche.

I'd post pics of it but I don't want to steal Tony's thunder and I can't find the digital camera anyway.

Brian
