Online Dating

I'm trying to move on with my life and I think I will try one of the online sites. I'm looking for someone to flirt with and see where it goes. Online will be the easiest for me since I will be gone for almost a year. Plus, I am rather sensitive about my appearance. That being said, does anyone know of a good site to post an ad?

There's okcupid.com and plentyoffish.com. Both are completely free, though I prefer okcupid.com more. I think most pay sites are a waste of time and money.

What Ali said...like any site though, you have to weed through the fakes to find the ones that are worth chatting too.

What SG said - I did this for a while and it was fun, but definitely best to meet sooner rather than later or unrealistic expectations begin to build up on both sides.
And what's that about your looks? Here, you like fine and dandy to me!
Good luck in your endeavours!

We're penpals :p

Sarge, I've not had any luck with online dating.
Well, the online part has been fun, but the dating part has never worked out.
In the end I found it easier to meet sooner rather than later, to avoid building up intimacy online that was misplaced when we met and the spark just wasn't there.

If you just want correspondance, a few dates and something to keep your mind off your current situation, go at it. But if you are hoping to find a relationship that works I'd just caution you that you'll need a healthy dollop of luck.

That said, I know it's worked for some people.
I just can't recommend any sites because I'm not one of them!

I'd also recommend Okcupid.om. Found my husband there! Good luck, Sarge.

I'm madly in love with SG, but she has spurned my advances. Alas, I am forced to search for someone else.

As far as the dating goes, It will be kind of hard to do while I am in Iraq. LOL. There are female troops, but very few in my grade range.

Online dating. Well. I happen to want to punch every motherfucker on E-Harmony commericals right in their smug, superior noses. Actually, I want to mow them down with a semi-automatic.

that's how I feel about them. E-Harmony "them" anyway.

Whhhhale...not the people in that Sea Bond commercial, that's for sure.

maybe the people in the Applebee's ads....they look like they're having a fucking GREAT time; if I could pick, though, and go thru time and space, it would have to be with the hippies in the original "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke," commerical.

But only because I believe most of them would be holding.

I met my husband through adultfriendfinder.com

I admit it is probably unusual for that to occur on that particular site, but stranger things have happened I'm sure.
