Aug 16, 2009: Cody's Magic Legs

From sloshspot...
Quote:
Cody McCasland was born under extreme complications, and was lucky to live at all. In the first two years of his life
he went through countless surgeries, with a final endgame of having both legs amputated below the knees.
Cody fought through it all, and his parents have made sure that he hasn't missed an experience yet in his young life,
regardless of his physical impairment.
Using just about any prosthesis applicable, including "Blade Runner" style springboard feet, Cody does it all.
The craziest of them: his prosthetic sled, which replaces ice-skates and allows the little guy to play actual hockey.
Sound ridiculous? Tell that to Cody.

And a big thumbs up for the Texas Scottish Rite Masons who made much of this happen.

We Freemasons catch so much shit about conspiracies, secret cabals to take over the world, and other garbage, it's good to see that the press is letting people know that we do this sort of thing.

There are so many charities that we donate to, and so many more that we want to.

Maybe the Scottish Rite ate his legs.

I can figure out all of it except for the hockey sled. How does he propel himself? And is that a modified hockey stick or a Bowie knife in his right hand?

I love it when people tell their misfortunes to fuck right off.

I wonder

How this act of kindness fits into the Freemasons plot to take over the world.

I know the answer but to tell you would involve BOTH of us dying in an ugly way.

Trust me, it's all part of the Master (Mason) Plan!

The legs aren't magic... the kid is. And the parents. That decision to amputate is one of the ones I dread, but worse still to choose to amputate uninjured unpainful limbs. bravo, parents, you had guts and made the right choice.
