Emma is two-month banned

Another dwellar found information which suggested she has deeper problems than the Cellar is equipped to deal with in a minor. You may PM me for details if you wish.

She is on a two-month timeout, during which if she is truly interested in the Cellar, she can just read it and learn about the types of interactions that we generally have.

My personal opinion, which does not necessarily affect the ban, is that this is a forum for adults or minors who are capable of acting like adults online. My informed opinion is that most early teens far prefer to spend time on forums with other early teens. I think E's time here (and her time getting banned on scores of other forums) is an indicator of a deeper emotional/relationship problem that will have to be addressed through therapy. I believe that E spending time here is not in her best interest, and certainly not in ours.

Agreed. It's nothing personal though.

She needs to be with people in her own age-group for now.

Thanks, Undertoad. Not so much that I wanted her banned, but I appreciate the well thought out approach.

It's unfortunate, but I suppose not surprising, what she learned from the net was, the best way to get maximum attention is by being obnoxious. I hope in time she'll learn, not all attention is good, and that's actually, the best way to get ignored.

Thumbs up

My hope is that Emma will have finished her emotional binging by then and realize that it's the quality of our time together, not the quantity of time spent here, that makes for a successful member of the Cellar community.

That would be great. My hope is that two months is outside of her attention span and that she'll forget all about us, and find a lot of age-appropriate friends and productive hobbies, etc.

A little googling shows that this is Emma's hobby, trolling and getting banned from as many boards as she possibly can. Like the Johnny Cash song, She's Been Everywhere, Man. The fact that she was around here as long as she was shows how kind-hearted and open minded we are as a group (well, most of us, heehee). A little gullible, yes, but I'd rather be gullible than hard-hearted. I don't think she'll be back.

Your writing was better. If she comes back maybe you could coach her.
