SIM Card Travails
I am posting this on behalf of someone else, a FOAF, or actually a FOAFOAF.
Seems this fellow somehow trashed his phone's SIM card. I do not know how, although I have requested this information. Is it possible to recover the data from the card? I know this is done with regularity on CSI-like shows, and is probably a matter of finding out how much money the guy is willing to throw away towards recovering a dozen or so phone numbers that he could probably regenerate through other sources. I back my phone up, and keep a physical list of the phone numbers I consider important to critical. If I rummage around in some boxes I could probably find an honest-to-goodness address book of mine. But FOAFOAF is clearly not that kind of guy.

I just bought a SIM Card reader from Newegg. $9.99 and it came with a utility on CD to retrieve my address book. I used it to back up mine.
This one is $13.99, since mine is no longer made: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-026-_-Product |
