3D TV
I heard it was all the rage at the Consumer Electronics show, but this was the first advert I had seen for a 3D TV, thought they might still be a couple of years out of home retail.
3D broadcast format war? We've only got a HD LCD in the last year, so I'll check back when they are $500 |

I'll need some serious convincing to get a 3D TV. It's one thing to go to a 3D movie once or twice a year. It's another thing entirely to wear silly glasses at home every day. I don't see the point. Maybe when they can project an image into the room like R2D2 I'll be interested.

I read they didn't use glasses, but some sort of built in projection mask... on some types.

So, like, Horatio Caine could take off his glasses in 3-D, and it'll be just like he's taking his glasses off in my living room. Then I can kick him in the balls.
