.....and you couldn't stifle the laughter

It was same old boring meeting room. It was same old (older than the earth itself) colleagues and (still more older than the universe) seniors (yawn). A brand new (newer than my last breath) agenda was to be presented when out of nowhere that Calvin from "Calvin and Hobbes"
peeped from some notorious corner of my thought thread. And boy, wasn't I dying to have the hell of a laughter. I was nodding at something being spoken but I was seeing the Bill Watterson's simplistic & awesome use of pissed-up expression on that little cartoon character. I bit my inner lip and chewed on my non-existent long nails. Still like an arrogant fart, it kept coming. The more I suppressed it, bolder it got. And finally I had to rush out of the room on pretense of getting some "last-minute-forgotten-non-existent-notepad"!

casi, reading that makes me think of this scene:

Which makes me think of:

What's the Soup du Jour?
That's the Soup of the Day.
Mmmmm, that sounds good, I'll have that.

Calvin and Hobbes are my all time favorite strip. Knowing that, my friends and family sent me the complete collection of books when I was stuck in the middle east years ago. I got the strangest looks from people while sitting in the back of a tanker wiping tears of laughter from my eyes. I still have all those books.

Cheers Shawnee. I haven't seen Dumb and Dumber.

This is my favourite cartoonist. Some of his stuff is very political, other stuff is a comment on humanity and a lot of it (not mutually exclusive) is just really funny. He's most famous for Mafalda (written in the 60s, but still very topical today) which is like Peanuts, but with loads more edge...(I've decided over the last 2 weeks that edge is definitely where it's at).
