				liquor flask

Anyone in here uses a liquor flask? Is there anything I should look for or keep in mind when shopping for one? I was reading the reviews in Amazon, and it seems like some leak, and possibly rust too. Anyways, those were cheaper and not as pretty. I found a site with plenty pretty ones, but I wasn't sure if they're any better other than being prettier. |

Plastic lined is probably the best bet against leaking, rusting, or just getting icky.

Plastic lined??? I haven't run across one yet! Well, there's this one that's made from plexi glass, but the top or tip is made from stainless steel, or so I think. Here's a pix below. I like it just cuz of the plexi-glass material. However, I am partial towards the round or the slim design because they're so pretty. |

I've seen some that are a plastic flask covered with metal, usually pewter, or silver plated something, engraved with designs. Leather too, is sometimes used for a cover, which is good if you're hiding it in your underpants during cold weather.

Perhaps I may be of assistance. I have a number of flasks (stainless, leather covered, etc), and the one I find most useful, *by far*, is this one by Nalgene. Good volume, holds almost a half of a fifth (no, that's not a tenth), and I really like the sleeve the actual flask fits into. It has a cap cover that is designed to be a "shot "glass""--silly. Unbreakable, at least I've never been able to break any nalgene bottle I have used and abused. I'm still on my first one, and I've had it for years.

I've heard, for non-hermits that actually go forth in the world, the other bottle is not an option, as the police and public frown on it.

Just tell your boss it's an external artificial heart, you know, just temporary until they find a donor.
