How does one become okay with being simple ?

How does one become okay with being simple ?

... by believing the corporate TV commercials that run every Sunday morning

... by believing "class warfare" is not benefiting the wealthy

... by believing a Sales tax is not regressive

... by believing there such a thing as a workable FLAT tax

... by believing a Value Added Tax would be better than an income tax

... by believing commercials that portray "fracking" as environmentally safe

... by believing a fence along the US/Mexican border will solve problems

... by believing ObamaCare harms more people than it helps

... by believing Obama is the root cause of all problems

... by believing ANY Repubican would be better than re-electing Obama

... by believing a third political party would be beneficial to the US

I think I would be happier if I was more simple.
I've always been told I think too much, or I am too intense.

Not sure the above checklist would help though.

It was surprisingly difficult to find a version sung by Ronnie...

...by believing what the media tells you.

...by only getting your information from one source.

...by thinking one party is really that different than the other.

...by thinking that one politician can enact change.

simple is good, m'kay?

stop listening to the stories your brain tells you.

start feeling with your heart again

start seeing with your eyes

keep your center inside yourself

exercise

empty your head whenever you don't need it to figure out a specific problem

don't dwell on the past or worry about the future if you can't take immediate action to alter it.

I wish I would follow half of my own advice.

Here's one more to believe (about "Occupy Wall Street")

Quote:
HERMAN CAIN: I don’t have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe
that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated
to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration.

Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks,
if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself! [...]
It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed.

You MUST be simple if you believe...

...simply because you *EXIST, any one owes you anything.

...your ethic or morality (whatever it happens to be) is **universal.

...a 'right' argument ever trumps a bullet to the head.

...every one is equally moved by appeals to 'fairness'.

...every one is equally moved by appeals to the 'needs' of children.

...'justice' prevails.

...all men and women are 'created equal'.

...altruism trumps self-interest.

...crime doesn't pay.

...the definition of 'crime' (ANY crime!) is anything other than what's foisted up by the current big stick wielder.

…the (uber)'rich' will ever willingly give up their wealth.

...the 'poor' deserve a hand out, or hand up, just because they're poor.

...god loves you and has a room in his infinite house waiting (just for you!).

...any 'authority' has a real interest in you and your problems.

…and on and on.

*as though, simply because you're 'human' you're entitled to food, clothing, shelter, education, etc.

**that is: your view is 'right' and the other guy's is 'wrong' (because it contradicts yours)...'right' and 'wrong' gets determined by the one wielding the biggest stick (or, the one wielding the smaller stick, more wisely)...it's a competition of Wills (nothing more or less).
