The new post indicator

I've noticed that when I'm on the 'Search for new threads' page, if I refresh the page, I lose all of my new message indicators. Even if I haven't read any of the new posts yet, they will change into old posts. Or, at least, the threads still show up on the page, but the litte yellow 'C' that denotes that there is an unread post there goes away.

Is there any way to fix this?

I have the same thing happen a lot as well. I'd be interested in the "real" answer ... but what I end up doing most of the time is relying on the browser history and just going back to that same search results page. Works most of the time.

I tend to just load the main forum, then command-click (open in new window) each sub-forum, then read within there.

Middle clicking is much more efficient. Control-click, indeed. Feh! Don't you people know how to browse properly?
