Unbelievably good round-table discussion of trans* issues on Melissa Harris-Perry last sunday. I really really really think you should all give this a watch, in the States, where it'll let you, at least. It's a really really great 20 minute primer on how to deal with, talk about, and otherwise understand trans* issues. Auntie Kate is in impeccable form, and does her best to speak out for the non-binary and the "gender outlaws" and everyone, queer and otherwise, who doesn't fit into society's rules.

Dan Savage is a raging cunt, and yeah, fuck him with a rusty nailboard, but he's not a bully and he's not some dooming albatross you can hang around obama's neck. He's gotten SLIGHTLY better about not spewing transphobic bullshit all over the place in the past couple years, but I still hate the guy. I did, over and over from many sources. That is a total bullshit statement. This mother fuck cannot claim to be against one group of bullies while he bullies another. He has been outed. He had no respect for the thoughts and feelings of teenagers in his audience. He berated them. He attacked them for their beliefs. You cannot hold yourself up as a champion for a cause against one group while you attack another. He has been exposed. And because the Obama Administration has embraced him, they are complacent.
