About the only thing that took me aback was the 48 hour deadline. I thought the press conference at the UN was kind of interesting ... mostly because of Kofi Annan very carefully NOT saying anything against the US, giving the impression that we had a nod and a wink agreement to "go take care of him and we'll be in after," particularly given the offers of humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people.
