All things Evil and Dead

The 'Oh pease let this happen' thread is now outdated, since it has happened - is happening, right now...

So, in a fit of pot-fuelled thread flurry, I figured we could have a nice new Evil Dead thread to discuss all things Evil and Dead - or indeed loosely connected to things Evil and Dead, through the works of those involved.

At some point I'll post about the new series Ash vs Evil Dead - which i am loving btw. Right now though, I've been binging on the movies and just about every youtube interview, Q&A, filmshow discussion and analysis of the movies that I can find.

This is one of those oh-fuck-me-how-I-love-the-internet moments, for me. When I stumbled across this on YouTube it was such a blast. I don't have specific memories of watching this particular episode, but I remember watching the show, so I almost certainly did. I hadn't discovered Evil Dead yet (I was 16 when this episode aired) so it owuldn;t have caught my attention as much back then. It's The Incredibly Strange Film Show, hosted by baby-Jonathan Ross, interviewing an equally baby-faced Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell looking like the screen God he always was.

Loads of insight into the team and the way they worked, and a nice look at Sam Raimi as a budding director bound for icon status.

I love how Bruce and (especially) the Evil Dead car always cameo in Raimi's films.

That car hehehe. They actually missed one off that list. The Classic also appeared in The Quick and the Dead - which was a western. Raimi had it stripped down to its chassis and a wagon built around it. So there's a stationary wagon on that film that is in fact a 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88.

They mentioned that, but had no screenshot.
