environmental end-run

interesting

I never cease to be amazed at the new methods that the various branches of government find to expand or redefine their constitutional duties.

I voted Libertarian in this poll but it was a tossup with Sycamore. The catagories seem pretty rigid. I was dissappointed I couldnt choose more than one.

No. I didnt bother to read or even access the link either. I think I know enough already.

"In the guise of settling lawsuits, federal officials have retired to the back room to work out deals that sacrifice our old-growth forests, salmon and clean water for the sake of clearcutting our public lands," said Patti Goldman of Earthjustice, one of the plaintiffs in the freedom of information case.

This kind of crap is what bothers me about the green movement. Nobody clearcuts anymore but they have to represent it this way because most people don't mind having public lands managed for profit. I voted lib on the poll because I'd prefer not to see the government subsidies and sweetheart deals which always seem to develop around public lands. Greens have enough money to take land off market to preserve it but they'd rather use your money (in the same way that Repubs would rather use public lands than buy their own). yah its early for griff to be boozin but the cars are waxed the snow fence is put away and the raised beds are built so...

Dude, you suck. You have the colors all wrong.

Communists and Republicans are red. Democrats are blue. Greens are, well, green. Centrists should be pink.

Sycamores and libertarians can fight over orange and light blue, for all I know.

No, dammit, modern democrats are more like commies and should also be red, despite the way that the vote maps get colored in on the news ...

And the greens would probably rather not be green because of the potential harm to the environment from the dyes needed to color the pixels.

Sycamore party should probably come up in a nice metallic purple, but you'll want to consult with him on that.

Sorry guys, but those of us in the "New" GOP have progressed to the point where we don't see colors in politics.

At least I think that's what my fax copy of today's talking points says.

That's right, to the new GOP, it's all green, baby! - and I'm not talking about trees.

So the GOP still sees everything in terms of black and white?

If they see the light, they might start to see things in color.
