a sad, lonely place
... and then we went to the Flt 93 crash site in Shanksville, Pa. Pretty sad sight, but I'm glad we made the effort to go.

I realized I forgot to explain that last photo.
We were leaving and I happened to glance at one of the dump sites just past the Flt 93 memorial ... I always wondered where those things went after us middle school assholes filled their money slots with glue and busted up the front panels with chairs and fire extinguishers. |

Neat to see all the rocks in photo #2 -- I always like that aspect of Jewish tradition. (Rocks last longer than flowers.) Quite a powerful memorial.
