Question Did you see "The Reagans" on Showtime?

Great movie, I'll have to watch it again and again. I missed a few parts because I was chatting with my fiancé. I don't know what all the hype was for though. It just had stuff that everyone already knew. Nancy as the pill popping, power-hungry manipulating bitch pushing Reagan on, and Reagan as the well-intentioned, empty-headed, simpleton who followed his wife’s strict demands without knowing he was doing purely evil things. Reagan publicly complained and railed against "large government" for decades and then spent more money than all of his predecessors combined.

The Reagans are a prefect example of the old saying, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions.", at least in Ronnie's case.

Did they touch the topic of his reliance on his astrologer to help him make executive decisions?

Very much so, but it was Nancy's Astrologer. She picked that up when Ronnie was still a Democrat and running the Screen Actors Guild. They showed Reagan being sworn in as Governor of California at 12 midnight because the astrologer said so, etc.

I was too young to know or care during the time he was president, but in retrospect the astologer thing creeps me out.

I also wouldn't feel too comfortable around a man who refers to his wife as "mommy".
