Table-less design, alistapart, cssZenGarden
I've been slowly trying to convert my site into a better design (almost everything except the front page is awful, obfuscated, or broken). I had some encouragement from A List Apart's article about retooling Slashdot, but that only convinced me to use modern xhtml/css design -- my front page doesn't look much different if I have css disabled.
It did not show me the inspiring potential of such design. For the past fifteen minutes or so I've been gawking at css Zen Garden. Wow! Now that is where artistry comes in. |
