Having fruit before dinner is good for lose weight??

My mother said that~~and i wonder why.....

Um, maybe because it fills your stomach up before you can stuff a whole lot of barbecued ribs and mashed potatoes in there? Everybody has a theory. You look slim enough, No Time.

Maybe she's just trying to get you to eat more fruit which is supposed to be good for you. Unless you eat it like I do--smothered in whipped cream.

Filling up your stomach with stuff that's better for you than the meal you're planning on eating is supposed to help...unless you eat that AND all of your meal WITH seconds...and thirds...

Water's good for that too.

I read somewhere that drinking a glass of ice cold water with your food is suppose to help, because the cold slows digestion and causes the energy to be available for a greater period of time, rather than being converted and stored.

Source was Men's Health magazine, I think, though I probably couldn't find it again if I tried.
