Celiac Sprue....
Hello, all, it's been awhile. . .
My hubby and my son are both completely intolerant to wheat and all wheat-related products. No pasta, no pizza, no beer. ![]() It's a condition called Celiac Sprue, and it's a helluva dietary issue. It's also much more common than previously thought, since it's symptoms are so varied and Celiac disease is not commonly taught in medical school. There's actually a whole mess of sundry conditions that can possibly all be cured simply by removing gluten from one's diet. (I say 'simply', but there's nothing simple about it till you really know what you need to avoid) So anyway, I was wondering if we've any Celiacs in the Cellar. Mebbe we can share some dinner ideas. Anyone? |
