minor tweak

I've noticed a lot of people screwing up links by forgetting to remove the http:// in the URL box when creating a post, might be best just to make that box blank?

It's a good idea but wouldn't we then have a bunch of broken links where people didn't put the http?

I think: a) most folks cut 'n paste from the URL window which includes the "http://" and b) most browsers can handle a URL that leaves the "http://" off.

On the occasions that I use the autofill box, the initial "http://" is highlighted, and when I paste the URL into the space without having to think about it, it overwrites that text. Lately, since I've finally after several years gotten the hang of the syntax for the url call, I just build them myself. Particularly when I'm using quick reply. Like now.

I think this line's mostly filler.

I think the problem occurrs when the mouse indadvertently moves a pixel or two when clicking in the text box, which deselects the "http://".

UT, maybe a little parsing function that checks if there's two and hacks one off?
