Travel Section anyone?

I was going to post a question about jet lag, and that got me thinking that there was nowhere really to put items about travel, except Home Base.

Anyone else feel that a Travel section might be a useful addition? I'm thinking not only of journals ans such about trips people have taken but also a place to assk and exchange info on related topics - you know the sort of thing, experience with certain airlines and airports, recommendation on hotels and resorts, negative things to watch out for in certain places, things to take with you which might be difficult to get/expensive in certain palces and so on.

That's what home base is for...anything and everything.

Maybe I should have put that in the wine section instead - it didn't travel well.

I think we don't have a travel section because we don't get out much.

I think It's a good idea. Leave it to the new guys to come up with good ideas.

We already have that nice Cities section which gets a lot of threads. Maybe it could be ever-so-slightly altered. Maybe it could be ever-so-slightly altered: Cities and Travel. Places you are or places you want to be.

Sounds sensible and logical - worth a punt if nothing else - no real harm done then if the idea does a belly flop! In the spirit of the Cellar, how about adding to the strap: 'Places you are, you want to be, or you wish you weren't' ...?
