01/03/03: The Pimpin' Coat

Hey folks, I've gone and gotten myself a stylish new coat! Whaddya think?

It was $133 at Dillards, marked down from $200, and funded mostly through a $100 giftcard from my well-to-do father-in-law, who works as CFO for the Dallas Cowboys. Merry Christmas, Mr. Mitchell!

I feel a bit silly, as I'm not normally concerned so much with image, and I fear it might just make me seem pretentious. But aw, hell, aren't I entitled to splurge on myself now and then?

One more thing: I don't know why my shoes came out looking like that. There's actually not any white in them at all. They're brown. I guess there are just some reflective elements in them. :)

One more pic for the road, just to show how stylin' I can be:

And at $33, that's quite a splurge!

God help you if you ever get addicted to console gaming :)

Very nice coat Juju. Is it heavy enough to wear out in the cold? It seems to be very stylish but light. Does it have some type of liner in it or are you supposed to wear a jacket under it?

Also looks like you could hide some serious firepower under it.

After discussing this with him on IM last night, I'm convinced that this could very well be one of the high points in his life.

It's a nice coat...not as cool as my pimpin coat, but it's alright.

;)

Maybe, but you didnt post nice big clear pics of your coat. Or did I just miss them?

Maybe you arent as photgenic as Juju. Or maybe your coat isnt quite as nice.

It has a lining in it, so it's quite warm. I went out last night, and it was pretty damned cold. The only parts of me that were cold, though, were the parts not covered by the coat (hands, face, and ankles). You can wear another jacket under it, too, though.

I forget what it's made out of, and it doesn't seem to say anywhere on it. It's a Ralph Lauren, though.

I've had lots of other exciting things happen to me recently, but the thing is, they're only exciting to me. As in, hey folks, I just bought a new router!! Yeah baby!! And then I burned all these new mp3-cds to play in my car! And then, I went to Wal-Mart and bought Ben & Jerry's ice cream!

See? It's just not as cool as the coat.

Heh, nah. I'd hope that Beelzebub would be able to give me more style than that. :)

Well, I meant splurge as in buying an expensive clothing item just because it looks really cool. That's not really something I'm used to doing. Granted, it wasn't expensive to me. I had to use the giftcard one way or another, and if it wasn't this, it would've been slacks. But I got slacks for christmas, so I've got plenty of those now.

Word to the slacks. They're the only pants I own. Denim is not for me.

I need to get me a new coat, but I need to wait until my body hits the right shape. My arms and shoulders will be bigger, chest bigger, waist smaller, etc... It would be silly to dump money on one now.
