I'm not right-wing but I still hate the French.

And I think you're right, Griff. They were banning head scarves, etc. Big to-do over it. I'm going to Europe next summer but I'm NOT going to France. If I want to be insulted and have people feel superior to me I can just go across town and see my mom and dad.

I was in France last summer... I don't like France because I think it's overrated. However, the French people were all very nice to me and I had a nice time, despite being in France. If you act like a jackass, they won't like you. They didn't like a lot of the people I went to France with for that reason.

Els, you have no idea how right you really are! I do indeed have a French first name and I've had a love/hate relationship with it all my life. Mostly hate, though. I was born in 1964 when the popular names were Debbie, Mindy, Linda, Melissa...how I ended up with the atrocity they hung on me...oh, wait, I do know.
