A perfect falcon, for no reason,
has landed on your shoulder, and become yours. Rumi or O goodly spirit! O pure essence! How long must you wander and hustle? You are the king's falcon; hence, Fly back to the king's whistle. Rumi I doubt that this has anything at all to do with the poem in question. Although I have kind of gathered that the falcon is often a metaphor for Islam in Sufic poetry. I don't know for sure, this is an assumption garnered from a relatively brief google search and scan of a dozen or so poetry pages.
