Snap. Every year I used to choose a theme - sometimes based around something I'd already seen, sometimes I had to search for AGES to find what I'd already decided on. I bonded with one of my close friends on this - she was a hard core wrap fan too.
Snap. Sigh that I'm only sending a few gifts this year. I'll probably use my Mum's leftover wrap (she always has some as she buys rolls). It's not to my taste, but not only do I know I'm on a budget, but the family do too and won't appreciate the self-indulgence of beautiful looking presents. In fact my parents and I have agreed not to exchange gifts at all (then my Mum was trying to buy me 2 x jumpers for £20, which is a bargain, but is still a present!)
I might go for brown paper and tartan ribbon though. It looks lovely, really is cheap, and with the tiny token gifts they're getting will be a fitting wrap.
Snap. And I'd wrap for you too if I could Merc. I did my boss's wrapping two years running when I was 19-20. She was blown away by my Secret Santa wrapping the first year I worked for her, and sidled up to me to ask if I wanted some extra money. It was funny, it was like she was offering me a porno shoot or something - she was SO embarrassed. I'm pretty sure I refused payment and just got a really expensive present from her, that fades into insignificance compared to the fun I had setting the theme the year after, hoping she'd be impressed enough to ask me again (she did). It was such an ego oboost from a woman with impeccable taste and grooming.
