I was wasting some time recently and went into a great museum we have in Edinburgh called the Museum of Childhood and if you ever come to Edinburgh it's worth a visit here's some pictures of old toys and some not so PC toys of the past

When I was a kid there were two machines which i used to rush to and pester whichever adult was with me to put a penny in,as they had working models/puppets, the first was an excecution where the doors opened and there was some one on the guillotine with a priest nodding away as if reading and just as the blade drops and before the head got chopped off the doors shut.
Sad but the machines were out of order on the day i was there or i would have took a picture when it was working Last edited by be-bop; 03-13-2009 at 07:40 PM. |

The other one is supposed to be a haunted house where theres a wee bloke sitting in his chair reading a paper this one had sound effects i remember,doors opened and pictures on the wall opened with ghosts and monsters behind. used to crack me up as a kid.
