OH please. Play golf, do you?

I'm very glad rugby is in. Golf too.

More sport than synchronized swimming, both of them. (oh, and soccer)

No, but I did 45 years ago, for long enough to know the discipline it takes to play well consistently. Ever tried it?

Synchronized swimming is incredibly difficult, and physically demanding, at Olympic levels. Just try propelling your self up out of the water to your waist, and hold it there. I could never do it, doubt most people could.

Rugby's a no brainer, definitely a sport. But the question remains, how/why is javelin or Biathlon more a sport than golf?

A healthy person playing golf should never have a heart rate over 60 bpm.
You obviously don't play golf, and don't realize how much energy it takes to wrap a 9 iron around a tree.
