So sorry to hear it.
They called me to the ER 2 days ago to stick a kid about that age for an IV and blood. They usually are not happy about that and neither are the parents. My heart goes out to you and the parents. |

Yes, she was not happy. The first ER nurse tried the left inner arm at the fold and failed so then a former pediatric nurse tried the left back of the hand and failed and finally got one in her right hand. An hour later a lady came back saying the blood had hemotized or something like that and had to do a finger prick which she really did not like. Then an hour later another came back and pricked her heal but at that point she was pretty dehydrated so her blood did not flow so she stuck her with a butterfly stick in the original left arm spot and pulled 2 tubes of blood. 6 sticks for a 3 year old, I hope she isn't mentally scarred for life!
