well, sure. There are more grains than just wheat, you know. Rye, oats, etc.
The BIG difference, and the one you have to watch out for, is bread advertised as "healthy," "wheat," "multi-grain" etc. which is NOT whole grain. You have to check the label. If it just says "wheat flour" or "enriched wheat flour," it's NOT whole wheat.

What about the following:
I'm technically :p on the South Beach Diet, so I want the nutrition, but good taste is most important to me, and that Earth Grains crap just doesn't do it for me. |

Drax, read the ingredients. That's the only way you can be sure.

Anyone have any tips on how to make 100% whole grain bread? I have tried with wheat, but I figure it might be the altitude, as I sit above 6000 feet.

Did I say don't ask here? Fuck me, I only offered my tuppen'orth of advice.
My point was this: Nature's Own Honeywheat could mean anything. Those are phrases that marketing people have come up with. If you just go off the marketing then you may be misled (which I believe was much what Cloud was saying). If you look at the ingredients you are seeing the raw materials that have gone into the product, rather than the marketing slant. |

Because we can't see the label from this far away?

On a more serious note, I'd be inclined to avoid the 'High fructose corn syrup'. If it's the stuff I'm thinking of it's seriously bad for you.

although the ingredients list "whole wheat flour," it's far down the ingredient list. For genuine whole wheat bread, it must be the FIRST listed ingredient.
