War Movies
Maybe it's because of the War in Iraq, or maybe it's just a warmup to Memorial Day, but there have been some great war movies on.
Tonight is The Best Years of Our Lives , about three WWII veterans returing home and trying to readjust themselves as civilians. Harold Russell , plays a character written for him, a double amputee. Some of the best directors came out of WWII, and they made some of the best "thinking man's" war movies out there. The Longest Day, Stalag 17, The Big Red One. Actually, Stalag 17 began as a stage play.
