It was much more about politics, power and control than about "Good" Vs "Evil". The "evil" bit was just the excuse for getting rid of enemies and rivals

That's exactly my point. When you use God and Religion as a means to "control" without acknowledging that Heaven RULES and without the intent to 'save souls' then YOU ARE EVIL.
